Our Commitment to Excellence
A highly skilled, well-trained team
All of our mechanics follow the training provided by the Canadian Elevator Industry Education Program (CEIEP), which provides instruction for members of the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC).
The program, which leads to an EDM-A (Class A Mechanic) license, requires a four year apprenticeship and the successful completion of a series of exams administered by the IUEC and the Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA). (The TSSA is responsible for regulating the safety of elevating devices in Ontario that are governed by the Technical Standards & Safety Act.)
To further improve their skills, Regional Elevator technicians receive extensive on-the-job training. They also have the opportunity to take part in both night-school training sessions and regular day training to keep current on new technologies and installation techniques.
Protecting customers by keeping up with industry changes
Regional Elevator stays current on best practices and upcoming legislative changes through our membership with the Canadian Elevator Contractor’s Association and our active involvement in a variety of TSSA programs.
